MONITORING DEVICES- The FLIR

We use a variety of different monitoring devices which enable us to locate the affected areas most effectively. The FLIR® is an infrared thermal imaging camera which generates pictures like the one to the left. This camera allows us to pinpoint the exact locations of leaks and the severity of the damage. We also use thermo-hygrometers and penetrating moisture meters to confirm moisture levels.

EXTRACTION

Extraction is essential to water damage restoration because the goal is to get unwanted water out. A dwelling will dry much quicker when the maximum amount of water is extracted. Extracting water is over 1000 times faster than water evaporation.

PROFESSIONAL AIR MOVERS

Our air movers are meant to aid in the process of drying by bringing high powered air into the affected areas. Once the maximum amount of water is extracted the air movers are set in place to ensure that all other remaining water will be dried in an effective amount of time.

DEHUMIDIFICATION

We use professional grade dehumidifiers to get moisture out of the air and walls in order to aid in the drying process. This eliminates humid conditions that are common with water damage.

ANTI-MICROBIAL TREATMENT

Anti-microbial agents are equally important in order to prevent growth of microorganisms that thrive in some humid environments. We spray an anti-microbial treatment on the affected areas.
